NEW LICENCE

Requirements

  1. Completed Application Form
  2. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  3. Valid identification (Passport, National ID or Plastic Card Driver’s Licence)
  4. Business Registration from Deeds Registry; Company Act or Articles of Incorporation
  5. Money Lenders’ Certificate from Magistrate’s Court
  6. Recent Police Clearance (no less than six months)
  7. An interview is conducted upon lodgement of the above documents.

RENEWED LICENCE

Requirements

  1. Application form
  2. Previous year’s licence
  3. Valid identification (Passport, National ID or Driver’s Plastic Card Licence)
  4. Business Registration from Deeds Registry, Companies Act or Articles of Incorporation
  5. Money Lenders’ Certificate from Magistrate’s Court

Pawn Brokers

    The cost of Pawn Brokers Licence is Fifty Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$50,000.00).

  • New Amsterdam | Linden

    The cost of Pawn Brokers Licence is Thirty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Guyana Dollars (G$37,500.00).

  • Elsewhere in Guyana

    The cost of Pawn Brokers Licence is Twenty-Five Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$25,000.00).

Money Lenders

The cost of a Money Lenders’ Licence is Twenty- Two Thousand Five Hundred Guyana Dollars (G$22,500.00).

These licences must be renewed on an annual basis.
