The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has implemented the E-Payment feature in ASYCUDA World which will allow Importers/Declarants to pay duties and taxes through electronic payments (Online Banking e-Services) in ASYCUDA World (AW) for Customs Declarations.
Through partnership with Demerara Bank Limited (DBL), this medium will provide the opportunity for Importers to enter their credentials and information relating to their Bank Accounts, along with the duties and taxes to be paid. A video demo and user guide are available on the GRA’s website in the links below outlining the step-by-step procedure involved.
Taxpayers would be required to have an active account with DBL to facilitate this process. In this regard, importers who require clarification or assistance in relation to the DBL e-banking facility, can contact the bank via email banking@demerarabank.com or its telephone numbers at any of its branches. At present, the GRA is in discussion with other banking institutions to have them on board so that Importers/Declarants can make payments of Customs duty and taxes with convenience.
