Requirements
- Completed application forms
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Valid identification. Passport or National ID
- An approved plan and letter for the premises applied for, stamped and signed for by the Central Housing and Planning Authority and the Guyana Fire Service
- Business Registration
- Sanitary Certificate from Mayor & City Council or National Democratic Council
- Safety Certificate from the Guyana Fire Service
- Cold storage Licence
- Food Handlers Certificate

The cost of a Butcher Shop Licence is One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Five Guyana Dollars (G$1,125.00).
This Licence must be renewed on an annual basis.
Tobacco Licence
Requirements
- Completed application form
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Valid identification. Passport or National ID
- Must possess a valid and applicable Shop licence
Requirements
- Completed Application form
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Valid identification (Passport, Driver’s Licence or National ID)
- An approved plan of the premises stamped and signed by the Central Housing & Planning Authority (CH&PA) and Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC), or Mayor & City Council (M&CC)
- Copy of Title/Transport
- A Tenancy Agreement if premises is leased or rented, or an Affidavit of of Consent from the owner(s) of the property or their duly authorised representative
- A Fire Certificate from the Guyana Fire Service.
- Updated Business Registration, Companies Act or Articles of Incorporation
