The general public is reminded that ALL payments for licenses or taxes should ONLY be made to the
Cashier at the GRA’s Headquarters or any of its office locations countrywide. Further for all payments made, an official receipt WOULD be issued at ALL times.
The medium of payments in ASYCUDA WORLD is as follows;
- Cash and/or Cheque payments
- Prepayment Facility – This allows persons to pay down money to the GRA. Once a declaration is submitted, the duties and taxes are automatically deducted from the prepayment account
- ePayments – this medium allows persons to pay duties and taxes utilising the Demerara Bank Limited Online payment facility
All ASYCUDA World and/or Cheque payments can be made at any GRA/Customs locations with the exception of Lethem
NO officer of the GRA nor person purporting to be an “agent” of the GRA is authorised to collect monies from taxpayers.
Taxpayers are also encouraged to take advantage of the convenient and secure payment options available through Mobile Money Guyana (MMG), Western Union, Bill Express and participating commercial banks: Republic Bank, Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry, and Demerara Bank to facilitate payments.
Additionally, an external work station is now available at the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) for payment of all Internal Revenue taxes, Customs duties and taxes, motor vehicle licences and Value Added Tax (VAT). The station is located at GPOC, 2nd Floor (old cashier cage), Robb Street entrance.
A cashier is also available at the Licence Revenue Office (LRO) on Smyth Street, to facilitate motor vehicle transfers, new motor vehicle registration and motor vehicle licence.
