The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) wishes to inform all Importers and Licence Customhouse Brokers that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published a list of Hazardous Materials which MUST have an approval from their Agency prior to the importation and submission of an e-SAD by Importers and Licence Customhouse Brokers.
With effect from January 18, 2021, the GRA wishes to advise all Importers and licence Customhouse Brokers that when submitting declarations in ASYCUDA World for the items listed below, kindly ensure that you obtain the relevant approvals from the EPA. As such, when the respective commodities codes are referenced on an e-SAD, the system will mandate the attachment of the approval.
This will assist in minimzing delays in the processing of such declarations with the respective commodities.
