Gas Station Licence
Requirements
- Completed Application form
- Valid identification (Passport, Driver’s Licence or National ID)
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- A valid Trade Licence
- Updated Business Registration, Companies Act or Articles of Incorporation
- An approved plan of the premises stamped and signed by the Central Housing & Planning Authority (CH&PA) and Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC), or Mayor & City Council (M&CC)
- Petroleum Licence from the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA)
- Approval from Toshoas for areas controlled by them.
- A Fire Certificate from the Guyana Fire Service.

- A Tenancy Agreement if premises is leased or rented, or an Affidavit of of Consent from the owner(s) of the property or their duly authorised representative

This Licence must be renewed on an annual basis.
- This Licence must be renewed on an annual basis.
The cost for a new or renewed Gas Station Licence is dependent on the location:
- Georgetown is Thirty-Five Thousand Guyana Dollars (G$35,000.00).
- Rural/ other areas is Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($17,500.00)
Additionally, the cost for a Trade Licence is dependent on the square footage of the premises, and can range from Four Hundred Guyana Dollars (G$400.00) to Sixty Two Thousand Two Hundred and Seventy Five Guyana Dollars ($62,275.00)
