Georgetown, GRA, Wednesday, September 9, 2020: The Guyana Revenue Authority’s (GRA’s) Licence Revenue Office  has commenced registration of motor vehicles in the “ZZ” Series.

The new series officially commenced on Thursday, September 3, 2020 after registration of motor vehicles in the previous “YY” series reached the completion benchmark of nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine (9,999). The “YY” motor vehicle registration series would have commenced on August 08, 2019.

The GRA is reminding the general public that registration for new motor vehicles is currently being facilitated at the GRA’s Smyth Street office. Relocation of services to this branch followed efforts by the Authority to reduce the influx of taxpayers at its Camp Street Headquarters. Payment of the registration fee, physical examination of motor vehicles, and updates/amendments to motor vehicle registrations are also being facilitated at this location.
