Please read these terms and conditions carefully before accessing the Revenue Authority’s Padna mobile application.

Introduction

Your use of our Service is governed by these terms, which outline the rights of all users. We are committed to providing a safe and secure experience. These Terms and Conditions detail how you can use our Service, including data collection and your rights regarding that data, privacy considerations are detailed further in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is operated by the Revenue Authority, a corporate body established under the Revenue Authority Act, Cap 79:04 of the Laws of Guyana, located at Lots 200-201 Camp Street, Georgetown, Guyana. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you have questions, please contact us on the aforementioned numbers.

Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions:

  • Account: A unique account created to access the Padna Mobile Application.
  • Application: The Padna Mobile Application provided by the Guyana Revenue Authority.
  • Company: The Revenue Authority also referred to as the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) located at 200-201 Camp Street, Georgetown, Guyana.
  • Country: Guyana.
  • Device: Any device that can access the Application.
  • Personal Data: Information related to an identifiable person.
  • Service: The Padna Mobile Application and its associated services.
  • Service Provider/Data Processor: Any entity that processes data on behalf of the GRA.
  • Usage Data: Data collected automatically regarding the use of the Service.
  • You/Your: The individual or entity using the Service.
  • We/Us/Our: The Revenue Authority and its agents.

Account Creation

Using our Services and accessing your Content will require an eServices Account. Your account is valuable, and you are responsible for maintaining its confidentiality and security. The Revenue Authority is not responsible for any losses arising from the unauthorized use of your account. Please contact the Revenue Authority if you suspect that your account has been compromised.

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to register for a Padna account and utilise our services.

Intellectual Property

You agree that the Services, including but not limited to Content, graphics, user interface, audio clips, video clips, editorial content, and the scripts and software used to implement the Services, contain proprietary information and material that is owned by the Revenue Authority.

Suspension of Access

We may suspend your access immediately for any reason, including breaches of these Terms. Upon suspension, your right to use the Service via this channel ceases.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

“AS IS” Disclaimer

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your requirements or be error-free.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Guyana. Your use of the Application may also be subject to other applicable laws.

Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about the Service, please contact us first to try to resolve the issue informally.

Translation Interpretation

These Terms and Conditions may have been translated if We have made them available to You on our Service. You agree that the original English text shall prevail in the case of a dispute.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new terms.

Other Provisions

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Revenue Authority and governs your use of the Services. You also may be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply when you make Transactions or use other related services, third-party content, third-party software, or additional services. If any part of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed in a manner consistent with applicable law to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intentions of the parties, and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. The Revenue Authority’s failure to enforce any right or provisions in this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of such or any other provision. The Revenue Authority will not be responsible for failures to fulfill any obligations due to causes beyond its control.

You agree to comply with all local and national laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations that apply to your use of the Services. Your use of the Services may also be subject to other laws. Risk of loss for all electronically delivered Transactions pass to the acquirer upon electronic transmission to the recipient. No Revenue Authority employee or agent has the authority to vary this Agreement.

The Revenue Authority may notify you with respect to the Services by sending an email message to your email address or a letter via postal mail to your mailing address, or by a posting on the Services. Notices shall become effective immediately. The Revenue Authority may also contact you by email or push notification to send you additional information about the Services.
