The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has introduced the pre-payment functionality in ASYCUDA World for all Export Declarations in an effort to minimize and safeguard against the current spread of COVID-19.
With immediate effect, the GRA is urging all frequent Exporters and License Customhouse Brokers to utilize the prepayment facility when preparing the e-SAD for all Export Declarations instead of visiting the cashiers to make a payment every time.
Brokers are advised to call the Revenue Accounting Unit on telephone number 227-6060/ 227-8222 Extension 1037 in order to initiate the creation of the Prepayment Account and to provide an active email address of the individual (s) who will be monitoring the prepayment account. Brokers should also include the TIN of the Exporter, and the means of payment, such as bank drafts or cash. This will assist with reducing the amount of visits to the GRA’s Head Office.
Please be advised that since this is a pre-payment functionality, the GRA will not issue a physical payment receipt to the Exporter. The payments will be deducted automatically from the pre-payment account upon submission of an e-SAD. As such, Brokers/Exporters will have the access to print an AW Receipt which will be available upon submission of the e-SAD.
If you require any clarification or assistance please make contact with the AW NPT on Telephone Numbers 227-6060/ 227-8222 Ext 3633 for further guidance.
