The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) wishes to remind taxpayers that vehicles registered in the ‘G’ series must abide by the following conditions:
- Seats behind the driver are to be completely removed
- Windows, other than that of the driver and passenger, in the front seat, should be completely removed and replaced with metal sheets
In 2020, the GRA ceased granting tax exemptions and registration of Toyota Noahs, Voxys and other similar types of motor vehicles in the ‘G’ series. The GRA’s Policy regarding this series of vehicles is still in effect, thereby disallowing the aforementioned vehicles to be registered in the ‘B’ Series (Public Transportation).
Anyone found in breach of these requirements will be summoned to pay the full (not prorated) duties and taxes applicable.
