The Guyana Revenue Authority will cease the granting of tax exemptions and registration of Toyota Noahs, Voxys and other similar types of motor vehicles in the ‘G’ series. However, owners of vehicles already registered in “G” are advised to abide by the following conditions:

• Seats behind the driver to be completely removed;
• Windows, other than that of the driver and passenger, in the front seat, should be completely removed and replaced with metal sheets; and

The GRA’s Policy is still in effect thereby disallowing these vehicles to be registered in the ‘B’ Series (Public Transportation). Anyone found in breach of these requirements will be summoned to pay the full (not prorated) duties and taxes applicable.
