New/Renewal of International Driver’s Permit
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed Application Form
- Original and copy of Guyanese Driver’s Licence (must be valid for the next 6 months)
- Copy of a valid National Identification Card or Passport
- Two (2) Passport-sized photographs
Cost: $3,000.00. The permit is issued after successfully completing the application process.
If you plan to migrate or visit any of the following Countries listed below, you can be issued with an International Driver’s Permit. It is important to note, the International Driving Permit will only be issued for the class of vehicle that you are currently allowed to drive in accordance with your Guyanese Driver’s Licence. Additionally, the license will be valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of registration.
The countries that are parties to the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic and would accept the International Driving Permit are as follows:
