- Ensuring that items are procured effectively and efficiently with the correct quantity and quality, following the Regulations and Procurement Acts of the Revenue Authority.
- Preparing and submitting Purchase Orders to the Manager for approval.
- Preparing the Expenditure Committee Sheet to submit to the Expenditure Committee for approval.
- Updating the capital general tracker with the purchase orders and the full description of every transaction.
- Communicating with suppliers via telephone to obtain information on items to be procured.
- Ensuring quotations received from businesses are National Insurance and GRA compliant.
- Conducting visits at suppliers’ businesses to inspect items before a purchase is made.
- Making payments and uplifting items from the suppliers and storing them appropriately.
- Preparing and submitting weekly performance reports to the Finance Officer for review before sending them to the Manager for approval.
- Liaising with technicians on behalf of staff whose items are defaulted to resolve the same.
- Any other related duties assigned.
- Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)/ Diploma in Accountancy, or any other equivalent qualification with a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience.
- Sound Knowledge of the mission, mandate, goals, and objectives associated with the GRA
- Sound Knowledge of the Laws and Policies of the Revenue Authority
- Ability to implement/execute operational procedures and make effective decisions with tact and discretion
- Sound Knowledge of Accounting Software and PC Applications
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, persuasive, and negotiating skills
- Organisational and interpersonal skills
