The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) is now open from 07:00 hours to facilitate members of the public who are desirous of making payments at the cashier or conducting transactions relating to their driver’s licences.

This new measure was recently implemented by the Authority to ease congestion and enable taxpayers to access crucial services promptly. The GRA’s Cashier Department and Licence Revenue Office will therefore be open during the following hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays 07:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs (3 pm)
• Fridays 07:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs (2 pm)

Taxpayers are advised that this new measure only applies to the GRA’s Headquarters on Camp Street and NOT its other Integrated Regional Tax Offices (IRTOs) across the country. The Authority will also continue to monitor crowds and maintain its COVID-19 safety protocols such as body temperature checks, wearing of masks and sanitising of hands.

• Licence drive-thru pick up

In its effort to provide additional convenience for taxpayers, a drive-thru facility will soon be established at GRA’s Lamaha Parking Lot for persons to uplift their driver’s licence after completing the application/renewal and payment procedure. Persons are advised to make payments utilising the online facilities at GBTI, Republic Bank and Demerara Bank or Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) to expedite the procedure.
